Rick Tiwald, a managing director with Deloitte Tax LLP, has been named marketplace leader of Deloitte’s Des Moines, Iowa, office. In his new role, Tiwald will further enhance Deloitte’s strategic positioning in the Des Moines business community while maintaining client service responsibilities. In addition, he will continue to serve as the leader for Deloitte’s tax practice in its Des Moines and Davenport, Iowa, offices. Tiwald is a graduate of Creighton University and is a CPA. With 32 years of public accounting experience, he serves clients in multiple industries including energy, manufacturing, real estate, and transportation. J. Scott Wheeler has been promoted to partner at Masimore, Magnuson & Associates, PC in Omaha. With 12 years of public accounting experience, Wheeler provides the firm expertise in the corporate, partnership, and individual tax compliance areas as well as tax planning, research, and consulting services. He works with clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, medical and professional services, real estate, and agriculture. Founded in 1974, Masimore, Magnuson & Associates, PC is a growing firm with a team of 22. Dana Whitfield has been promoted to partner at Masimore, Magnuson & Associates, PC in Omaha. Whitfield works extensively with clients on financial reporting, employee benefit compliance, and business benchmarking. Since joining the firm in 1995, she has been instrumental in helping the firm grow and serves closely held, family-owned businesses in the wholesale distribution, manufacturing, retail, medical, and construction industries.
