Roth for his leadership and contributions to the CPA profession during the Society’s Annual Meeting, held Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Embassy Suites in La Vista, Neb. Roth, president of Reinke Manufacturing Company Inc. of Deshler, Neb., is the recipient of the Society’s 2018 Outstanding CPA in Business & Industry Award. A1992 graduate of theUniversity of Nebraska-Lincolnwith a degree in business administration and accounting, Roth started his career in public accounting. For four years, he was an auditor in the Lincoln, Neb., office of KPMG before joining Reinke Manufacturing in 1996. For the next 10 years he worked in various accounting and leadership positions with Reinke before becoming the company’s president in 2006. Founded in 1954 by Richard Reinke, Reinke Manufacturing is a world leader in mechanized irrigation system technologies for agriculture. With approximately 600 employees worldwide, the company has experienced huge technical advances over the past several decades. Under Roth’s leadership, the company remains true to its beginnings and its agricultural roots. About the Distinguished Ser- vice to the Profession Award The purpose of the Public Ser- vice Award is to recogn ize Nebraska CPAs who have per- formed outstanding public ser- vice in their communities. The nominee must be a CPA, be a member of the Nebraska So- ciety of CPAs, and be in good standing with the profession. Selection of the award recipient is made by a five-member com- mittee of Society members and approved by the Society Board of Directors. ABOUT THE OUTSTANDING CPA IN BUSINESS & INDUSTRY AWARD The p rpos of the Outstanding CPA in Business & Industry Award is to honor Nebraska CPAs who have made a significant contribution to the growth and success of their employers or a notable entrepreneur al achievem nt. In addition, the award recognizes those CPAs working in business, industry, or government who have distinguished themselves by having made a significant contribution to t enhancement of the accounting profession. Selection of the award recipient is made by a five-member committee of Society members and approved by the Society Board of Directors. 2018 Outstanding CPA in Business & Industry Award
