Lynndsy J. Beckmann, CPA, has become a shareholder of McMill CPAs & Advisors in Norfolk. A graduate of Wayne State College, she joined the firm in 2015 as an intern and obtained her CPA license in 2017.

Allison C. “Allie” Boulay, CPA, of Deloitte Tax LLP in Omaha, has received the Omaha Community Foundation’s Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation, after graduating from the foundation’s graduate-level training program for professional advisors.

Grant H. Buckley, CPA, is serving on the Junior School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a partner at Buckley & Sitzman LLP in Lincoln and serves as treasurer of the Nebraska Society of CPAs Board of Directors.

Benjamin J. “Ben” Burton, CPA, of Lutz in Omaha, has received the Omaha Community Foundation’s Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation, after graduating from the foundation’s graduate-level training program for professional advisors.

Katelyn A. “Katie” Byrd, CPA, is serving on the Junior School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Byrd is an audit director at Lutz in Omaha.

Nicole L. Cooper, CPA, MBA, has been named chief financial officer at Project Harmony, one of the largest child advocacy centers in the nation. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is an AICPA Leadership Academy Graduate, Class of 2020. She serves on the UNO School of Accounting Advisory Board, the Nebraska Society of CPAs’ Accounting Careers Committee, and as a volunteer with St. Stephen the Martyr’s Home and School Association. 

Eric W. Cruise, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cruise is a tax managing director at KPMG LLP in Lincoln.

Ellen S. Dasher, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dasher is vice president of global taxation at Valmont Industries Inc. in Omaha.

Diane D. Davies, CPA, of Cruise & Associates in Norfolk, has been elected to the Northeast Community College Board of Governors.

Jodi M. Eckhout, CPA, has become a shareholder of Woods & Durham Chartered CPAs in Holdrege. She serves as vice chairman of the Nebraska Society of CPAs’ Taxation Committee and secretary of the Nebraska Society of CPAs Board of Directors. In addition, Eckhout is a member of the AICPA Individual & Self-Employed Tax Technical Resource Panel and is a graduate of the AICPA Leadership Academy.

Sheila M. Hansen, CPA, of Blair co-presented a workshop on business entity selection for farms and ranches prior to the 39th Nebraska Women in Agriculture Conference in Kearney in February.

Troy L. Hilyard, CPA, will join MBE CPAs as its newest partner, following the merger of E&H CPAs & Management Consultants PC of Scottsbluff into Wisconsin-based MBE CPAs.

Joseph E. “Joe” Hunhoff, CPA, of Bloomfield and his family held their fourth annual “Angels Among Us” gift-shopping event in memory of Phyllis Hunhoff. The event was held at the local school so that all 136 pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students were able to shop for gifts.

Taylor C. Kendall, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kendall is an audit and consulting shareholder at Lutz in Omaha.

Michael D. “Mike” Kezeor, CPA, has been appointed president and CEO of the Archer Cooperative Credit Union with offices in Central City, Archer, Dannebrog, and St. Paul. He has been with the credit union since May 2013 and previously served as its chief financial officer.

Morgan J. Klipp, CPA, is serving on the Junior School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is the chief financial officer at JEO Inc. in Lincoln.

Milissa J. Kramer, CPA, of MJK CPA PC in Stapleton, recently helped present a “Finance & Accounting Workshop” for Stapleton, Mullen, and McPherson County high school students. The workshop was hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi.

James D. “Jim” Kruger is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kruger is the chief financial officer at Nelnet in Lincoln.

Julie A. Lacy, CPA, has assumed the role of interim CEO at Merrick Medical Center in Central City. Prior to this appointment, Lacy served as chief financial officer for Crete Area Medical Center and as the tax and accounting manager for Bryan Health in Lincoln.

Michael W. “Mike” Mason, CPA, has been promoted to senior tax manager at Frankel LLC in Omaha. He joined the firm in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Robin A. Matthes, CPA, has been promoted to chief financial officer at Lamp Rynearson in Omaha. She has more than two decades of experience in public and non-profit accounting.

Tricia J. Montague, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is managing director at Deloitte in Omaha.

Keaton E. Moss, CPA, is serving on the Junior School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is an audit manager at KPMG LLP in Omaha.

Anthony J. Pasternak, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a partner at FORVIS LLP in Omaha.

Travis W. Pritchett, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a partner at Labenz & Associates LLC in Lincoln.

Leslie J. “Les” Robbins, Jr., CPA, and his wife Melanie were featured in the 2023 Nebraska Ledger magazine, published by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Accountancy, for their generosity in financing scholarships for UNL accounting students. In 2012, they established the Robbins Family Charitable Foundation with a goal of giving back to their community and investing in future generations. Robbins credits Nebraska Society of CPAs Past Chairman Bill Strain for making a big impact on his career; Strain hired him as a staff accountant during his last semester of college. Robbins and his wife then moved to Omaha, where he joined a three-year-old firm, which later became Lutz. Robbins became the first non-founder to make partner three years later. In 1992, he moved to Darst & Associates. Six years later, he left public accounting and transitioned to various entrepreneurial adventures. Jeffrey M. “Jeff” Scherer of Beemer has been elected chairman of the Northeast Community College Board of Governors.

Schuyler J. Sharp, CPA, has joined First Bank & Trust of Fullerton as a loan officer and assistant compliance officer.

Jeffrey W. “Jeff” Sheets, CPA, is serving on the Junior School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a senior manager at Labenz & Associates LLC in Lincoln.

Susan K. “Sue” Wilkinson, CPA, received the Lincoln Journal Star’s 2023 Excellence in Business Inspire Award, which celebrates women’s leadership. Wilkinson was recently appointed president and chief operating officer of Ameritas. In 2020, the Nebraska Society of CPAs presented her with the Outstanding CPA in Business & Industry Award.

Andrew S. Young, CPA, is serving on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a partner at RSM US LLP in Omaha.

Richard G. “Dick” Zacharia was inducted into the Central High School Hall of Fame in Omaha in 2023. Now retired, Zacharia has been a prominent figure in Omaha accounting circles for decades, serving as the managing partner of Frankel Zacharia for 25 years. He also served on the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy for 10 years and received the Nebraska Society of CPAs’ Distinguished Service to the Profession Award in 2017. Zacharia has been a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs for 53 years.
